Your Inbox is where you can send and receive messages on MadeBig. To access your Inbox, click on the Inbox button at the top of your screen, or the in the Inbox Gadget on your Home Page.
How do I view the messages in my Inbox?
Click on the Inbox button at the top of the page to be directed to your Inbox. To open and read a message, click on the highlighted subject of the message. The highlighted name shows the user that sent you the message, click on the name to be directed to that users profile.
How do I send a message?
You can send a message several different ways.
• First, while in the Inbox, click on the Write Message button at the top right side of your screen, select the name of the friend you wish to send a message to from the drop down menu.
• You can also send a message by clicking on the Send Message button located on the right side of your screen while viewing a friend's profile.
• You can send a message while viewing your list of friends by clicking on the Send Message button located on the right side of the screen.
How do I reply to a message that has been sent to me?
It’s easy to respond to a message. From your Inbox, click on the reply button to respond to a message. You may also respond to a message by clicking on the subject line to open the message and then clicking on the reply button.
Who can I send and receive messages from?
You are only able to send messages to users who are on your friends list. This is to cut down on spam. You must request a person to be a friend or already have them in your friend list to open the lines of communication.
A message can also be sent to a seller who has listed an item in the MarketExchange. While viewing the full listing of the item click on Ask Seller A Question. When asking a seller a question you do not need to be the seller's friend to do so.
How many people can I message at once?
MadeBig only allows one person to be messaged at a time to prevent spam.
I’m not able to message a person. Why?
You can only message people that are on your friend’s list. You must request a person to be a friend or already have that person in your friend list to open the lines of communication.
How do I delete a message?
A message can be deleted by clicking on the Delete icon in the message.
I deleted a message by mistake. Can I get it back?
No. Once a message has been deleted, there is no way to retrieve it.
How do I forward a message?
At this time you are not able to forward any messages.
How do I view the messages I have sent?
To view the messages you have sent to other people, click on the Sent Messages button at the top of the page while in your Inbox.
What do the icons mean in the Inbox?
• The closed envelope icon means that the message is new and unread.
• The open envelope icon indicates that the message has already been read.
• The open envelope with an arrow icon means that you have read and responded to that message.
• The red X link is to delete the message. Remember once you delete a message you can not retrieve it.
• The closed envelope with the arrow is used to reply to a message.
