How do I add a friend?
Currently there are three ways to add a friend to your friends list. You can search for a friend by using the search bar on the left side of the screen. Once you have found the person you are searching for, click on the profile and select "Add as Friend". A notification will be sent to that person and they will then have the option to accept or deny your request.
Adding a friend is a pop-up box so you must enable pop-ups on MadeBig to request a friend.
You may also add a friend while viewing content posted by another person. Click on the users name. Depending on the users privacy settings you will be directed to their full or limited profile, click on the Add As Friend button and a friend request will be sent to that person.
You can also invite a friend by going to your Friends page and clicking Invite Friends. Complete the form and click Send, an invitation will be sent to that person. You will receive an automatic friend request from that user on your Home page when they have signed up on MadeBig.
Please note - if someone wants to add you as a Friend, you will see a request from that person on your homepage under the Friends Requests gadget. In this gadget you will see the name of the person who is requesting to be your Friend as well as the options to either accept or deny the request. If you accept their request, this person will be added to your Friends list.
Also, if you invite a friend to the MadeBig site, you will automatically receive a Friend Request from that person when they register on MadeBig. You must accept their request in order to see that person on your Friends list.
How many times can I invite a friend to the site?
You may only send 3 invites to the same email address. Each time you send an email you will receive a message telling you how many times you have invited this email address.
Can I cancel a pending friend request?
No. Once you have requested that person to be your friend, there is no way to cancel that request. A person can be removed from your friends list by click on the Remove As Friend button.
If I deny someone’s friend request, will they be notified?
No, they will not be notified.
How do I know if somebody has accepted my friend request?
When a user accepts your friend request you will receive a feed on your Profile page saying you and that person are now friends. This person will now appear in your Friends list as well.
How do I know if I have requested somebody to be my friend?
If you have already request a member to be a friend and that person has not yet accepted or rejected your friend request the Friend Request button will say Friend Requested and you will not be able to click on the button.
How do I remove a user from my friends list?
If you no longer wish to have a user in your network of friends, you have the option to delete them from your list. To do so, you need to go to your friends list, by clicking the “Friends” link in the upper left hand side of the screen, locate the friend you wish to remove and click “Delete” and they will be removed from your list of friends.
If I remove someone from my friends list, will they be notified?
No. Once you have deleted a friend, you will also be deleted from their friends list as well.
Someone on MadeBig is harassing or threatening me. What can I do about it?
If this person is in your network of friends, removing them from your network cuts down on the ways they can contact you.

Someone is pretending to be me - what can I do?
First, change your password. To do this, click on My Account and then Account to change your password. Contact us at customerservice@madebig.com MadeBig immediately and we will take action to resolve the situation.
